It has been a healthy 3 months since I submitted my O level Higher Art coursework, and I have received the results of my efforts.
Paper 1: Coursework For this coursework, I chose the theme "Passengers". I chose to interpret the theme as "Passengers of life". After much development, my photography series resembled an abstract photo journal of sorts.
Preparatory Boards:
Here's Paper 4, Visual Art Task The question for the task was: In the role of a designer, research advertising for making a greener environment.Using this experience, formulate a design proposal for a series of images and logos which can be applied totransportation systems to carry a message on how to reduce the carbon footprint. For example, cycling, car travel, public transport, air or sea.
Conclusion: I got an A2 for this subject, which is graded based on the coursework (Paper 1, includes the final work and preparatory boards) and the Study of Visual Art paper that I did. I can't show what I submitted for the theory paper because we can't get back our papers. I also got a distinction for the Visual Art Task (Paper 4), which is a joy. :D
I learn that I should not procrastinate in order to reach my full potential. I also realised the joy of photography once again after my lengthy hiatus. I'm hoping to join my JC's photography society, so that I can have more time to practice and fine-tune my photography art style.
Hello world. Here are some photos I took on my recent photography outing at the Esplanade. There was an NDP preview, so I had the opportunity to take many cool images from outside the floating platform.
Nothing much. MadLibs development has been greatly delayed because of my exams. I have yet to do the graphics and I've decided to restructure to entire program because it's inefficient. (Now that I think about it, I should have written the new structure down. Crap! I forgot.)
I'm actually doing the program with self-imposed limitations. I decided I should only use simple functions like, fwrite() and it's variations. I will probably continue it in June, but no promises because this is my 'O' Level year and I'm just toiling away through the books. My art coursework is taking up the most of my time, and I hope after I've gotten my results I could publish them here. I guess we'll see.
Ever heard of MadLibs? Well, I'm currently making a Facebook App for that game. Took me 4 hours and finally the functionality is done. Gonna do the CSS and design next week. Do check it out here: apps.facebook.com/madlibsgame
I don't know. I just finished my O level project for Higher Art Paper 4. I must say it's my best work so far. I am happy with myself. Even if I don't get a distinction, I can proudly and confidently say that I have done my best, and that brings me joy.
